For this project, I was tasked with creating a universal YouTube intro that would appear at the beginning of all videos on the organisation’s channel. The only requirement was to feature the organisation’s logo. However, the challenge was that the logo was provided as a single, fixed asset. Its elements could not be separated or manipulated individually, which limited the ways it could be animated.
To work creatively within this constraint, I explored ways to introduce the logo without altering its structure. I developed a concept that blends professionalism with a playful, engaging tone. The final intro uses a particle animation sequence where the logo begins as an abstract cluster of particles, visually unrecognisable at first, and then gradually forms into the complete logo. This approach adds visual interest while still honouring the integrity of the original design.
To enhance the reveal, I incorporated a ripple effect paired with a sound cue that creates a more cinematic and polished feel. I chose a clean grey background to ensure the viewer’s attention remains focused on the logo throughout the animation.
